3 Billion Downloaded Applications in Android Market

Google announced that there are three billion downloaded applications from the Android Market. These results were achieved after a few months before the company announced a two billion have been downloaded applications on the Android Market. As quoted from the Tech Digest, Friday (4/15/2011), formerly the Android Market took two years to reach one billion download an application. This indicates that the operating system (OS) has been growing rapidly over the last few months.

Downloading an application on the Android Market has risen 50 percent since the fourth quarter of 2010, especially coupled with the app store version of the web that has been launched in early February 2011. Even so, Apple still occupies the top position for the category of app store. Recorded approximately 10 billion downloads of Apple’s App Store.

But with 350 thousand new Android enabled device every day, and his OS is now competing with Apple’s with the IOS, it appears that the number of Android applications that are downloaded from the Android Market, will continue to grow rapidly.
